Crawford County Projected Release Dates
A projected date is a calculated or contingent date. It is not the same as the time a person actually exits a jail or prison. Missouri records use several labels with distinct meanings. The MODOC Sunshine data documents a Sentence-I Minimum Release Date and a Sentence Maximum Release Date. A conditional-release date comes from the sentence framework. A presumptive parole date is a Board decision subject to conditions. Final discharge occurs only when Department supervision ends.
The physical event is recorded by the facility. For Crawford County jail custody, the Sheriff’s rolling release roster can show the exact date and time the person left the detention center. That timestamp does not disclose whether the destination was the community, another jail, MODOC, USMS, BOP, ICE, or another authority. State-prison departure can also lead to parole or conditional release, so the person may live outside the institution while remaining in MODOC legal custody.
Scheduled versus actual: A calculated sentence date, parole date, or court order does not prove that release processing finished. Confirm actual departure with the custodian’s release record.
- Minimum release date
- A calculated minimum date on an active MODOC sentence.
- Maximum release date
- The maximum expiration date recorded for that sentence.
- Presumptive parole date
- A contingent Board outcome that can change before release.
- Final discharge
- The end of MODOC legal supervision, which may occur well after prison departure.
Crawford County Release Date Channels
Start with the agency that controls the person. The Crawford County Detention Center holds local, municipal, state or local pretrial and post-conviction detainees, plus some federal pretrial detainees under a U.S. Marshals Service partnership. Those populations do not share one release-date system. A state-prison sentence belongs to MODOC. A federal sentence belongs to BOP, while a federal pretrial move may be controlled by USMS and the federal court.
| Custody situation | Best date source | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Pretrial county detainee | Court order, bond record, and Sheriff | No fixed date until legal and processing conditions are met |
| Sentenced county inmate | Judgment, jail-credit endorsement, and Sheriff calculation | Local sentence end and actual exit time |
| Missouri state prisoner | MODOC sentence data, caseworker, and Parole Board | Minimum, maximum, conditional, or parole date |
| Federal pretrial detainee | Federal docket, clerk, USMS, and county transfer record | Release versus transport to another custodian |
| Sentenced federal prisoner | BOP locator and BOP records | Calculated federal date and present custody status |
A current roster is not the place to prove a past release. If a person vanishes from the Crawford County list, the event may be a transfer. The complete release-search and records-request routes are maintained on the Crawford County released inmates home page. Ask the Sheriff to identify the receiving agency when the destination is unclear.
Find a Crawford County Release Date
The live MODOC Offender Web Search covers active offenders, including probationers and parolees, and excludes discharged offenders. Its post-verification result fields were not fully captured in the research, so no specific projected-date label is promised there. The official historical route is the MODOC Sunshine offender data, which is refreshed nightly and documents sentence fields for people who are or have been supervised.
One person may have several charge-specific rows. Read the relevant sentences together. Match DOC identification number first when known, then name and date of birth. The `CRAW` offense or sentence county code and court cause number can connect a row to Crawford County, though a venue change can make county codes differ.
- Identify whether the person is pretrial, serving a county sentence, in MODOC, or in federal custody.
- For MODOC, search the active gateway and note whether the assignment is an institution or field supervision.
- Use the nightly Sunshine data to read Sentence-I Minimum Release Date, Sentence Maximum Release Date, Completed Flag, and concurrent or consecutive status across all matching rows.
- Match the cause number with Missouri Case.net and read the judgment, sentence, and later docket entries.
- For a county sentence, ask the Sheriff for the actual calculation based on the judgment and credited custody.
- Confirm an unclear state date with the institutional caseworker, assigned probation and parole officer, or MODOC records custodian.
- After the expected event, compare the schedule with the facility release record rather than assuming departure occurred.
Placeholder values also matter. MODOC documents all-9 dates for life, all-8 dates for indeterminate or interstate cases, and all-6 dates for field assessment or investigation. These are codes, not calendar dates. Treating one as an ordinary projected release would create a false answer.
Crawford County Conditional Release Dates
Missouri § 558.011 divides covered felony sentences into a prison term and a conditional-release portion. For sentences of nine years or less, the conditional portion is one-third. For sentences between nine and fifteen years, it is three years. For sentences over fifteen years, it is five years. The prison portion is the remainder. Dangerous felonies and specified repeat-remand situations are exceptions.
This sentence structure does not promise that a Crawford County person will walk out on the calculated date. A Board extension, another sentence, a detainer, conduct, programming, or a new court order can affect the result. Conditional release is also supervision, not final discharge. The person remains subject to the Parole Board after leaving the institution.
The official conditional-release statute shows the sentence structure used in the calculation.
The statute should be read with the judgment and all applicable sentence rows, not used as a stand-alone calculator for one person.
Note: Conditional release is a period of Board supervision, so institutional departure and final MODOC discharge are separate dates.
Crawford County Minimum Prison Terms
Missouri does not require every prisoner to serve 85 percent. Under § 558.019, a person committed for a dangerous felony generally must serve 85 percent or, after age 70, at least 40 percent, whichever occurs first. For enumerated non-dangerous offenses, prior unrelated MODOC commitments can produce minimum terms of 40, 50, or 80 percent, with statutory age alternatives.
A minimum prison term controls when a person may become eligible for parole, conditional release, or another early-release route. It is not the actual departure timestamp. Offense classification, prior commitments, consecutive sentences, exceptions, and the controlling judgment all matter. A simple percentage applied to a sentence length can be wrong even when the arithmetic is sound.
The official minimum-prison-term law documents the 85-percent rule and the separate repeat-commitment tiers.
This statute supplies the rule, while MODOC and the sentencing record supply the person-specific computation.
Crawford County Release Date Credits
Missouri § 558.041 permits additional prison confinement credit on a superintendent’s recommendation. The law includes exclusions, conduct and program standards, and rules for loss or rescission. It provides no universal days-per-month formula. Section 558.031 separately addresses qualifying custody credit tied to the offense before sentence.
Those state-prison laws should not be imported into a Crawford County jail calculation. No official county-jail good-time formula was verified. No Missouri rule automatically moving every Sunday release to Friday was found either. A sentenced county detainee’s date must come from the judgment, the jail-credit endorsement, and the Sheriff’s actual release calculation. If a document is unclear, request the calculation rather than inventing a rate or weekend adjustment.
Supervision compliance credits are different again. Eligible people under field supervision may receive credits under § 217.703, while absconding, custody, or violations can stop or remove them. These credits may change final supervision discharge. They do not move the earlier physical release from prison or prove the Crawford jail departure date.
Why Crawford County Release Dates Change
Projected dates move because they depend on a legal and administrative record that can change. The reason should be traced to the responsible agency. MODOC administers state sentences. The Parole Board makes parole decisions. The court changes judgments and orders. The Sheriff calculates and records county detention events. Another agency may enforce a hold after the first custodian ends its custody.
| Factor | Possible effect | Source to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Conduct or program status | Credit can be lost, rescinded, or not recommended | MODOC caseworker and sentence record |
| Parole action | A presumptive date may be set, denied, delayed, or rescinded | Missouri Parole Board notice |
| Detainer or another hold | The first custody may end without community release | Releasing agency and receiving authority |
| Court order or sentence change | The controlling term or authority for release may change | Filed court record |
| Concurrent or consecutive sentence | Multiple rows may combine differently | MODOC data and judgment |
| Pre-sentence custody credit | Qualifying credited time can alter the calculation | Judgment, endorsement, and MODOC |
A parole hearing also does not guarantee release. Missouri uses a scheduling matrix, not a public date-by-date calendar. Decisions usually take 8 to 12 weeks. A presumptive date remains contingent on conduct, programs, and an acceptable plan. No public statewide decisions-results portal was verified, so use the Board notice, an eligible MOVANS notice, Board inquiry, or a lawful records request.
Confirm Crawford County Release Dates
Use a two-stage check. Before the event, obtain the best scheduled or calculated date from the correct agency. Afterward, verify that the custodian recorded departure and learn the destination. For the Crawford County Detention Center, the Sheriff’s released roster has an exact timestamp during its rolling window. Ask for the release or transfer log when the entry is no longer online or when the receiving authority is not shown.
Missouri VINELink can provide a custody-event notice when the relevant agency and person appear in the system. Attach an alert to the correctly matched record, then treat the notice as corroboration. It does not turn a transfer into a community release. The full registration steps and scope limits appear on the VINELink Check page.
For MODOC records, contact the institutional caseworker or assigned field officer. A focused records request should include full name, DOC number, date of birth, cause number, sentencing county, and the exact date or status field needed. For county custody, identify the booking number and approximate booking and release dates. Precision reduces same-name errors and helps the custodian locate the right calculation.
Note: A projected date answers when an event may occur; only the originating custody record confirms what occurred and where the person went.
